Setup Outlook Newer Versions
The following is a step-by-step procedure for configuring your e-mail account for use with Microsoft Outlook newer versions. Your screens may vary slightly depending on the version you are currently using.
1. Open Outlook by double clicking the icon from your desktop or selecting it from your program files menu.
2. Select File menu, then under account information on the right click the + Add Account button.
3. In the new window enter your email address. Then click the Advanced Options link, then check the "Let me setup my account manually" option. Then click the Connect button.
4. Select the POP3 option,
click next.
5. Fill in the proper
information for each box. Enter the Incoming mail server
(POP3) as
mail.unionactive.com
. Change the port number to 995. Check the box for This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS). Do not check the SPA box.
6. Enter the outgoing mail server (SMTP) as
mail.unionactive.com
. Change the port to 587. Select the encryption method as STARTTLS. Do not check the SPA box. Then click the Next button.
7. Enter the password for the account. Then click Connect. Outlook will test the account and prompt you if the login was not correct. If everything works finish the setup and return to Outlook. Click the send/receive button to check for new email.
